24-Aug-2010 Keller Williams Develops Exclusive Partnership with Home Rescue Institute
To Offer Help to Homeowners
ENGLEWOOD, CO—May 17, 2010—Colorado homeowners who may be facing a crisis with their home ownership have a new advocate. Keller Williams Realty has partnered with the Home Rescue Institute (
www.homerescueinstitute.com) to offer a network of professional resources for safe, reliable information as well as a certification program for real estate professionals.
Home Rescue Institute (HRI) was started in McLean, Virginia last fall by Jerry Boutcher, a real estate professional with more than 22 years of experience. “I saw that there was so much misinformation that was being promoted to homeowners who were having financial trouble, Boutcher explains. “Situations such as job changes, health concerns or a mortgage re-set can create a mortgage crisis for homeowners. Those who owe more on their house than it’s worth may be scared, confused, anxious or ashamed and embarrassed. We can help them understand their situation in these difficult economic times.
In addition to providing information to homeowners, the Home Rescue Institute offers a unique certification program for real estate professionals. The CHRE (Certified Home Rescue Expert) designation means that an agent has received education and support from credit specialists, tax and bankruptcy attorneys and CPAs, and is ready to assist homeowners.
“There are a number of certification programs that provide training to real estate agents but we feel this is the best program available to help homeowners find a choice that’s in their best interest, says Keith Alba, Operating Principal for Keller Williams Colorado. “Having access to the network of financial and legal professionals makes it a unique program in our industry. Homeowners can only access the resources of HRI through a Keller Williams agent.
Keller Williams Realty is built on systems and models. “We chose to partner with Keller Williams because dealing with short sales requires systems and models to be successful, explains Boutcher.
Since Home Rescue Institute started last fall, more than 650 real estate agents have received the CHRE designation, including more than 200 Keller Williams agents in Colorado. In addition, approximately 95 percent of the short sales handled by CHRE agents have been successful. Agents can only access the resources of the HRI program by affiliating with Keller Williams. Homeowners who want to talk to an agent with the CHRE designation should contact Keith Alba at 303-793-3888.
With more than 76,000 agents and 668 franchised Market Centers, Keller Williams Realty International is now America’s third-largest and fastest-growing residential real estate company. Keller Williams Realty franchised the Colorado Region in 1993 and has succeeded by creating a unique agent-focused model that builds partnerships between agents and local ownership through participation in a life-long, profit sharing program.
In Colorado, the company has 28 locations and more than 2,400 agents. In 2009, Keller Williams agents achieved a sales volume of more than $2.4 billion. For more information, contact Keith Alba at 303-793-3888 or visit
