24-Aug-2010 Leading REO Brokerage Mercury Alliance
WESTMINSTER—July 20, 2010—One of the region’s leading brokerages for bank-owned real estate (REOs) and short sales, the Mercury Alliance, has recently affiliated with Keller Williams Preferred Realty in Westminster (11859 Pecos St.) The REO “powerhouse was recently ranked number #20 among all Denver-area real estate firms with sales of $59 million last year.
The Mercury Alliance was founded by Tom DiMercurio in 2005 after more than 30 years in the real estate, asset management and financing industries. He has been involved in the successful disposition of more than 100,000 REO properties throughout his career, and is a licensed real estate broker in Colorado, Texas, California and Oklahoma. The Mercury Alliance focuses on the sale of lender-acquired assets across a wide-range of values and high-end residential properties (not necessarily lender-acquired) of more than $2 million.
Ruben Estrada, broker/partner with the Mercury Alliance, joined DiMercurio five years ago after spending seven years with Keller Williams focused on residential real estate. In 2008, Estrada was named Top Colorado Agent for HomeSteps, a Freddie Mac Unit.
“We have been talking with Team Leader Don Sarno and others within Keller Williams for several years, explains DiMercurio. “After five years, we have developed a model for REO sales that really works. We see our new alliance with Keller Williams as a ‘perfect marriage’. REO sales are tough—they require you to be available 24/7 and you need a good network.
“Keller Williams is known for being a company that provides training and education for its agents, DiMercurio continues. “We look forward to sharing our successful model with Keller Williams agents companywide. Our group also plans to learn and grow on the residential side of the business as the market cycles back to one that’s more ‘normal’ and balanced—not so heavily focused on bank-owned properties.
The Mercury Alliance has moved from its previous office in Denver to the Keller Williams’ office at 11859 Pecos St. The Mercury Alliance at Keller Williams includes three other licensed real estate brokers--James Downing, Tiana Estrada and Garred Lyle--as well as four additional staff members: Sherry Coats, Kim Leach, Laura Muma and Brenda Wagner.
In addition to the Westminster office, the Mercury Alliance will keep an office in Basalt and a satellite office in Avon, CO.
The Mercury Alliance is an approved vendor for well-known companies such as HomeSteps, LPS Asset Management, DSI, Bankers Asset Management, Keystone Asset Management, GMAC Rescap, Bayview Financial, Asset Link, Brighton REO, OneWest Bank and others. The company is a member of The REO Connection, the National Association of Real Estate Brokers, the Colorado Association of Realtors, Mortgage Bankers Association, National Association of Realtors, the AFN, National Association of Hispanic Real Estate Professionals, and the Real Estate Owners and Managers of California.
